Woodstock’s Management Track – Recruiting!
OK, we all know you probably started this job because
it sounded like fun to earn a few bucks, hang out with
the Woodstock’s crowd, and get some free grub while
you’re at it. But if you’re motivated to move
up, Woodstock’s also has lots of opportunities for
upward advancement. It begins with shift manager positions
at the store level, then moves up to Assistant General
Managers, General Managers that run their own store, and
finally, there are management positions at the Woodstock’s
administrative level.
Most of the current management team at Woodstock’s
didn’t start out thinking they would work long-term
in the pizza business. Jeff Ambrose, Woodstock’s
owner and President, got a college degree in history and
planned to teach school. He started delivering pizzas for
Woodstock’s to earn some additional cash while he
was a substitute teacher. It wasn’t long before he
was taking on more responsibility and Chuck Woodstock asked
him to help open a new store as an AGM. One of the great
thing about Woodstock’s is that you can have fun
and have a “real” job!
There are several benefits that Woodstock’s offers
to our management team. One of the most innovative benefits
we offer is a Woodstock’s stock purchase plan for
all General Managers and the corporate management team.
There are very few corporations in this industry who offer
stock to their management team, but we believe that we
are stronger when our managers are also Woodstock’s
owners.
Besides competitive management salaries, everyone on the
Woodstock’s upper management team is entitled to
our bonus plan, which is based on the income gains achieved
by each store. We also offer an escalating Paid Time Off
plan (vacations and sick leave), tuition reimbursement
for pre-approved classes, a medical insurance plan, dental
benefits, life insurance, disability insurance, up to $50/month
for cell phone reimbursement, automobile mileage reimbursement,
quarterly manager trainings, and an annual management retreat
at Lake Tahoe.
As Woodstock’s opens new stores, we will need more
people that are trained and ready to take on new challenges
as AGMs and GMs. Some of these opportunities will be in
new markets, but others will be in existing stores as we
move people around and create management openings.
If you’re interested in moving up through the Woodstock’s
system, we have a program that’s designed to fast
track you into a management position. You can request the
application for Woodstock’s Management Track from
Jeff Lafranchi, our Director of Training and Development,
at jlafranchi@woodstocksca.com.
After he receives your application, Jeff will interview
you and talk with your store manager. If he thinks you’re
ready to advance in the system, we’ll be sending
you to General Manager meetings, advanced management training,
and one-on-one training at the corporate office and other
stores in the system.
Woodstock’s has a long-standing tradition of promoting
from within whenever possible. If you’re interested
in moving up in the company, let’s talk! |
